Seasons Care Dietitian Network is currently accepting resumes for Chef and Cook opportunities throughout Ontario. We are looking for Chefs and Cooks interested in short term/temporary opportunities, as well as long term contractual commitments.

Our ideal candidate will have the following:  

  • Red Seal Certified (not required, but definitely an assets)
  • Previous experience as a cook in Long Term Care or Retirement Setting
  • Open availability to work any shift Monday-Sunday
  • Valid Food Handling Certification
  • Familiar with Long Term Care food production, including therapeutic diets

Job Duties may include but are not limited to: 

  • Meal preparation and cooking ensuring dietary needs are met – including special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef
  • Provide efficient, effective and reliable food service
  • Ensure residents are satisfied with all aspects of food preparation and presentation
  • Support the food services staff and provide direction
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
  • Assist in menu planning
  • Ensure sanitation and safety of kitchen and food production
  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed in order to provide a safe work environment
  • Assist in all aspects of food production
  • Bilingualism is an asset but not required
  • Experience working fast-paced


  • Safe Food Handling Certificate
  • Food Safety Certificate
  • 1 or more years experience working as a cook
  • Current Criminal Record Check including vulnerable sector check
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
