Happy Valentine’s Day!
This Valentine’s Day, the Huron Heights Community Association launched a ‘Love Thy Senior Neighbour’ campaign in London Ontario. The Association challenged members of the London community to donate Valentine’s Day cards, hand-made crafts and pre-packaged candies or chocolates, which will be delivered to 3 Long-Term Care homes in the north end of the city. What a fantastic way to bring a community together and spread love! Check out the full article Here!
Valentine’s Day may look a little different this year. Though staying home may not sound as fun, it is the perfect way to plan a special day for everyone- indoors!
Here are some ideas on how to celebrate:
- Make Your Own Valentine’s Day Cards: Instead of buying Valentine’s Day cards at the store, get crafty and make your own. This is a great way to get everyone involved!
- Make a Festive Meal or Treats: Celebrate the day by making a festive meal or treats to share, such as heart shaped pancakes, Valentine’s cookies, desserts or even savory snacks. Make food fun!
- Write Letters of Gratitude: Write a letter of gratitude to show love and appreciation to the important people in your life. This is a great way to make friends and loved ones feel special.
- Have a Valentine’s Day Themed Games Night: If you have a love for friendly competition, plan a Valentine’s Day themed games night everyone can enjoy! Some games can include, a Valentine’s themed Word Search Puzzle, a Trivia Game about Romantic Films, or a Valentine’s themed Bingo or Scavenger Hunt. Be creative!
