There’s no shortage of conferences, webinars, and presentations in long-term care. What makes this event different is the opportunity to spend a day learning not only from experts, but from each other.

On November 3, 2026, long-term care professionals from across Ontario will come together in Vaughan for the Nutrition & Food Service Excellence Summit: From Compliance, Collaboration and Innovation.

This workshop was developed through a collaboration between AdvantAge Ontario and Seasons Care, bringing together practical experience, sector knowledge, and real-world challenges to create a day focused on the topics that matter most to those working in long-term care.

The morning will feature representatives from the Ministry of Long-Term Care, sharing perspectives on compliance, inspection readiness, current priorities, and what Homes need to know as they navigate an evolving sector. It’s a chance to hear directly from the Ministry, ask questions, and better understand the expectations facing Homes today.

As the day progresses, the conversation shifts from compliance to collaboration.

We’ll explore how nutrition and food service teams, nursing, leadership, recreation, and other interdisciplinary partners can work together to create better experiences and outcomes for Residents. More importantly, we’ll hear directly from Homes across Ontario that are willing to share their successes, challenges, lessons learned, and practical solutions.

Some of the best ideas in long-term care don’t come from a textbook. They come from colleagues who have already faced the same challenges and found a way forward.

Throughout the day, attendees can expect practical discussions on topics such as:

  • Compliance and quality improvement
  • Nursing and dietary collaboration
  • Resident-centred dining
  • Resident satisfaction and hospitality
  • Innovation in nutrition and food service
  • Success stories from Homes across Ontario

Most importantly, this event is about connection. It’s about bringing professionals together to learn from one another, share what’s working, and leave with ideas that can be applied back at their own Homes.

We’re incredibly excited to see this event come together and look forward to welcoming familiar faces and new connections alike.

Hear from the Ministry. Learn from your peers. Leave with ideas you can use.
