Since 1996, Seasons Care has become the leader in Seniors Nutrition in Canada. Qualifications
- Travel between multiple Homes will be required
- Registered Dietitians Required
- Member in good standing of the College of Dietitians of Ontario
- Must have proof of COVID vaccine, liability insurance, TB testing and vulnerable sector police check
- Membership in Dietitians of Canada – Gerontology Network an asset
- Food Service experience required
- Leadership experience is an asset
- Preference will be given to applicants with experience in Long Term Care
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrates an ability to problem solve
- Computer Literacy - knowledge of computerized electronic medical records (EMR) programs an asset
Responsibilities
- Provide high-level leadership to the NM, FSS, RD and Dietary Staff, as directed
- Execute the vision of the Homes as it pertains to meal service, food quality and clinical nutrition services
- Orientation, support and mentorship of onsite Consulting Dietitians in the Homes to ensure high quality of nutritional care for Residents
- Liaising and work collaboratively with the Corporate Nutrition Manager to ensure high quality of food service for the Residents
- Participate in leadership meetings and committees as requested and assigned by Vice President, Long Term Care
- Monthly Summary Report submission to Vice President, Long Term Care
- Development and regular review of policies and procedures for food service and nutritional care – final approval from Vice President, Long Term Care
- Consultation regarding legislation / MOH / RQI - new initiatives and legislation changes
- Food Service and Clinical Innovation (i.e. best practices, MealSuite, new menu styles, hydration programs, IDDSI, etc.)
- CQI Development / Updating
- PCC Development / Support
- Annual Site Audit – Clinical Focus
- Quarterly Chart Audit
- Monthly In-Services
- Education as needed at the Corporate and Home-level
- Corporate Menu Review and Approval
- Menu / Synergy (Sysco on Demand) support and menu work
- Complete other duties, as needed.
